Parking is prohibited on all neighborhood streets, including at parking meters, while attending class, working or visiting any university property. University-affiliated vehicles parked on neighborhood streets are subject to a $200.00 fine. The Good Neighbor Policy was developed to comply with D.C. Zoning Commission orders. The university must comply with the requirements detailed in these orders as a condition of its Campus Plan, which authorizes the university to build important new facilities critical to our mission and strategic goals. Every member of the AU community plays a role in meeting these requirements through their personal responsibility and actions.
